CEFS Centre hosted Second Year Flower and Vegetable Distribution on May 23 and May 24. We sent a total of 200 packs of flower and vegetable seedlings to the residents who live in Markham. Each pack contains 12 flower and 6 vegetable seedlings. We recruited 20 volunteers to deliver the flower and vegetable seedlings to seniors’ home on May 23, and distributed the flower and vegetable seedlings at designated locations to the non-senior residents on May 24.
Our Distribution Event received many positive feedback from the residents, and mentioned that the seedlings pack brought many happiness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, gardening work is not only a good exercise, but it also helps reduce stress for people.
